Gambel oak grows in the understory of our ponderosa forest in the high-desert mountains of Williams, Arizona. When it falls, we gather it-thinning the fuel load that threatens the pines and giving dead wood a second life. This sixteen-inch slab keeps its live edge, exactly as it grew. Three salvaged railroad spikes serve as the hooks-century-old iron paired with native oak that spent decades in the shade of trees we're here to protect. Husbandry of the forest. Lasting beauty from what the land left behind.

Each piece is handcrafted from raw, natural materials. The wood grain, bark edge, and patina you see are unique to every slab. The item pictured represents the style and craftsmanship of your piece, but yours will carry its own character-knots, grain patterns, and natural imperfections included. That's not a flaw. That's the point.

Want to make it yours? Add this item to your cart, then find Custom Engraving ($15) and add it alongside. Fill out the short form, and we'll burn your mark into the piece before it ships.

First invented in 1878 by Julius Smith, this iconic device became a staple of late 19th century mining, quarrying, and railroad construction.

Our handcrafted static decorative replica is built from select solid oak, finished to highlight the rich natural grain. The T-handle plunger moves smoothly for and authentic tactile experience, and the brass knurled terminals complete the classic look.

A conversation-starting showpiece that brings the legendary spirit of the old West into your home, office, or collection.

A Legacy of the land.

Born from a love of what’s honest—raw wood, rusted iron, the things that earned their character the hard way. Under The Pines bridges old world craft with a modern eye.

Every piece—whether you can hold it in your hands or hang it on your wall—is built with intention, sourced from the land, and made to last longer than we will. Learn More
